Even though pheonixes may not have very physical variations they do have some elemental ones. For example a fire Pheonix has feathers and it is still shaped like a bird, but it is fire related while a shadow Pheonix is still a bird, retains feathers ect. but, has shadow elemental. Same for the ice pheonix, water pheonix and terra pheonix. All fire pheonixes are said to rise from ashes. All these different kinds off pheonixes supposedly hate each other.
